[The RIAA will take 2191.78 years to sue everyone.]
Fear not, file-sharing friends. Your odds of getting sued are only somewhat better than winning the lottery, according to these calculations.
Besides... who shares music anymore? Doesn't everyone with broadband go for the movies nowadays anyway? I suppose the MPAA is around the corner... and I suppose they might catch up to you in a couple hundred years.
Hurry! Hide your copy of The Matrix: Reloaded! The lawyers are coming!

[Zazzle ROX!]
Okay... the mathcaddy.com store has been successfully moved here -- zazzle is way cooler than cafepress... and, according to some articles I've read, their proprietary printing process is practically better than any other method of printing on t-shirts.
T-shirts "...are imprinted by a new digital technology that chemically bonds the ink to the cotton molocules. The resulting image is vibrant and durable, without that "decal-like" feel typically imparted by other heat transfer and screenprint methods. The images are soft and breathable, there is no overprint around the image area, and the images have a "wash fastness" equal or better than other 100% cotton printing methods." [source]

[CafePress = unimPressive... : ( DARN!]
Well, sorry friends... it turns out that CafePress.com is a crock. They suck. "high quality professional t-shirt printing" is not so professional. I just got my first t-shirt from them... and, sadly, it's just an iron-on (although very well done). It does look really good, and maybe they use higher quality stuff than I've used, but I want something a little more professional looking... something that will last. The good thing is because I'm still in my 15 day trial with CafePress, I can still back out of it.
.I have been looking a little further into moving the mathcaddy.com store to Zazzle.com, which sounds like a better way to go. They have their own high quality dyeing process that was designed by their founder, an MIT physics grad... I still haven't seen a t-shirt by them in real life, but hopefully I can get one made up and shipped out to me. The articles I've read say that Zazzle's prints are very high quality t-shirts, to the point where people are putting artwork and stuff on them.
Everyone wanting a mathcaddy.com store t-shirt should wait a bit until this gets straightened out. I will have cool, funny t-shirts, whether it's at cafepress or not.

[Mozilla: Firebird - sweet, dude. sweet.]
That's it. My days with IE are done. Mozilla is finally better, thanks to Mozilla:Firebird, a streamlined end-user version of the technically dominant mozilla browser. Tabbed browsing is definitely the way of the present and future... but for me personally, I've always found myself going back to IE because more sites are IE compliant than WC3 compliant... like msnbc.com for example. The previous version of mozilla would not have had the built-in menu extensions to run MSNBC's news menu. Or Blogger for another perfect example. It has been said that blogging is mozilla's killer app because tabbed browsing fits so well the way that readers and writers of blogs navigate the web (among other things). However, blogger wouldn't work with mozilla.
And I *know* that mozilla was, is, and always will be a skinnable app, but let's face it, the default skin for mozilla - which is the same as netscape version OLD.7 - just plain sucked ... and it took up too much room on the screen. And the average end user is not going to be excited enough about skinning their browser to go wade through the millions of available skins to pick out a half-decent one.
But all of that is changed. Mozilla: Firebird rocks. Appearance-wise, its menu is small, helpful, straightforward, and just good enough that I don't even think about it, which is what a good menu/toolbar should be. Blogger works. MSNBC.com works. Plus add in built in consistently faster page loads, pop-up stopping, tabbed browsing, a heck of a lot of customizability everywhere, and full, fat, extensive use of keyboard shortcuts for those of us who prefer the keyboard's speed over the mouse. Plus, add in really cool keyword searching ability like dictionary and google right into the address bar.
And the bottom line? Mozilla is a non-profit open source group made up of contributors from all around the world... and the browser wars are back on, buddy.
For more details on why Mozilla: Firebird should be your browser, check this out.
Oh yeah! Did I mention that Firebird also goes a step farther than IE in filling out login/passwords for you -- when you want it to -- it will automatically do both login and password when the site loads, so you just have to click "login" rather than select the username involved. AND you can set Firebird up to alert you when a site has been updated or changed... like a UPS tracking page for when you're waiting and waiting for your mathcaddy.com t-shirt to get here like I am right now.
You can get Mozilla: Firebird right here.

[What a great quote.]
“It’s unfortunate, it’s somewhat embarrassing obviously, but the bottom line is we thought we were getting an alligator.”
Yeah, didn't we all, buddy. Didn't we all...
Complete story right here. (Although the story isn't as good as that quote, in my opinion.)

[Steve's appetite = too large]
As you can see, I stay up late. And when I stay up late I tend to get hungry. And to satisfy my hunger, I tend to cook. Lately i have found some perfect recipes for those late night cravings! My favorite is the classic cheese, egg and turkey sandwich on Albertsons's stale french bread. this sandwich provides a satisfyng crunch with every bite of the crusty crust and the perfect hot cold relationship between the cold turkey and cheese and the scalding hot eggs. For added scrumtisiousnessicity, I find that adding half a stick of butter to your scrambled eggs provides the greasy spoonful of grease with every bite that a sandwich of that caliber needs. I think that I will go and have one now. I will post more about my perfect, and lethal, cookie dough mix later when i remember how to make it. Until then, I am Steve, the nocturnal food eater. Man, I'm tired.

[Steve's animation = too large]
I had been trying to figure out the lag in the web site loading for the last few days. I had decreased the quality in all of the pictures on the site to the point where they didn't take up very much room at all... and then I stumbled upon the filesize of Steve's animation. It's big enough to slow down the loading of the site on even a broadband connection. So instead of having it on the main page, I am featuring it as a link below. I hope everyone has a chance to see what a gifted young man we have in our presence. A gifted young man with a lot of time on his hands.
So... you can check out Steve's animation right here.

Man, I haven't posted anything in a while. Maybe that's because I haven't seen anything too funny in a while. Or maybe its because I can't write in complete sentences. Or finish a thought. Maybe I'll

For some reason my computer kept wanting me to put that as a title, so i gave in. Its a great book, but it has nothing to do with my post. I have made my first of many Mathcaddy animations. They have nothing to do with Mathcaddy, or anything else for that matter, but i believe that they can all teach us something about ourselves, or life, or butter.
[Steve's animation is really good and funny... but it is too large to be on the main site -- 255 kb -- so I have created a link to it here and on a later post. - adam.b]
You can check out Steve's animation right here.
