I got a great idea from tech guru Chris Pirillo's blog. He put his favorite search engines on the right side of his page... so, recognizing a cool idea, I followed suit, just altering what he did somewhat. You'll note the Daypop.com search -- a powerful tool for getting recent and entertaining stuff from weblogs all over the net... and for getting very up to date news. This is the quickest updated search engine -- and it's only meant to get quickly updated information from news sites and weblogs. Try it. Let me know if you run into any difficulties so I can fix them.

[February site update]
Okay, each month, I'll share some site statistics with you... Boring, but in a kind of exciting way. Here they are for this month:
4,652 hits in the month of February, 166 hits per day, and 6 hits per hour.
221 Uniquely IP-identified visitors.
Top time of the day to visit the site? During 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Lunch break?)
Second most popular time of the day to visit: 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
So apparently, there are some people eating and viewing the site simultaneously. (Maybe they're just turning it on for "background noise"?)
February 20 came in at second for most hits at 795, while February 27 brought home more than a quarter of the month's hits with 1415.
I was a little surprised at the number one "Wall" picture in February

[Telemousketeers]
Okay... I made myself laugh today! Maybe I've got it back! Or maybe, as the big D. pointed out, it's just a big booger.
I have had a song stuck in my head all day -- and I have no idea how it got there or who put it there.
Suddenly, as I this song was playing in my head, the phone rang... immediately I thought it was a telemarketer (because, arr, it usually is). Well, someone else got the phone -- and it wasn't a telemarketer, but in that split second, I realized that I knew exactly what I am going to do the next time a telemarketer calls. I'm going to immediately begin singing:
My hat, it has three corners.
Three corners has my hat.
If it did not have three corners,
It would not be my hat!

[The Horror of Blimps / Also: Me = Not Funny]
I don't know why I found this so funny, but I did. Man... it makes me wish I could write funny stuff still. I used to be able to (uh, I think?), but I think being married deflated my ability to convey my sense of humor through communication. Or maybe I'm out of practice. Every now and again, I try to write something funny or make a funny little cartoon, but it doesn't ever work. The funny things sound like rip-offs or not funny at all... and the cartoons look like this one:
Whew. That was not funny. At all.
At least I'm good at finding things funny. Like, for example, I can laugh. I can smirk. And that's it.
Oh well. Maybe I'll... umm... uh... sit here and read or something.
