Let me just take a moment to explain how good the song "Killian's Red" bny Nada Surf is. It starts out with this 5 beat bass drum beat that is accompanied by a slight melody on the guitar and it rises throughouyt with ample portions of acoustic and electric guitar. If you heard the end of the song and the beginning you couldn't tell they were the same song. If you have Kazaa you need to check it out. Its an addictive song. Fir realz.

Hey, this is kinda fun, but it's creepy how accurate it is. The program is very good at guessing. Post what you found that the program was able to guess, as well as the stuff that the computer wasn't able to guess (funnier).
For me, it guessed correctly:
-squirrel
-speaker
-sock
-ear wax.

It was not able to guess:
-Chuck E. Cheese

It was especially creepy when it guessed ear wax correctly, because it didn't even ask me if it was found on/in the body, etc. Weird...

Dan, I definitely think that you should do number 5, 6, and possibly 7. Maybe. Aside from that.........up to you.

1. Go to Berkley for my PhD.
2. Go to Georgia Tech. for my PhD.
3. Start work at Lawrence Livermoore National Labs.
4. Learn how to spell Lawrence Livermore National Lab.
5. Start an auction to sell the address to a place where someone may buy an e-book of a dictionary for $50 containing the single word "fool" and be put on a list to not be given something that they really wanted. Huh?
6. Thank Adam for his $4.
7. Join a hippie community, smoke hash, and play Hegemonia while snacking on marshmallows (secretly).

Oh decisions, decisions...

Apparently, the answer to Ryan's question is right here.

Although, based on Scripture, Mark 1:34 tells us that Jesus "drove out many demons." The Bible doesn't give us very much else to go on, but are we to assume that the Lord's preference was this car? But this leaves a single question to be answered. What was he driving them out of? Garages weren't invented yet!

That was just like double dragon, weird.

Try this, see how smart you really are. I got 10 out of 12. "Smarter than the average bear."

Sorry to hear about the DVD Burners. I went to that website, and that sucks. What is really funny (read: sad) is that I checked out that guy's eBay feedback, and everybody was posting positive feedback that he "delivers what he promised", even though his ebay item says that if you pay $50, then you WILL receive a DVD writer. Dirty liar. Low standards, just like me.

This is kinda fun if you're bored. Also, I wonder why nobody was willing to bid on this item on ebay??? And nobody used the "buy it now" price of $500 either??? Weird...

I'm glad I don't have to hit you with poo. It's so hard to get out from under your fingernails.

Really? Damn it, I'm no. 518. No, I'm not, but I did send that bastard $4.00 as well before I checked the blog. Looks like he's $8.00 closer to picking his up from Circuit City. Shit, we should set up an auction like that too. Heh heh...hmmm...

Mesmer - I just discovered I had 12.50 sitting in my PayPal account that I had completely forgotten about. It had been so long since I checked my account that it was like finding change in an old pair of pants... so I figured, "what the heck, this guy's at least a clever scammer, he can have four bucks." So... this is what I found out.

It's a pyramid scam! Only they have a loophole by selling dumb eBooks at outrageous prices to get people to enter into the pyramid -- check it out at ezexpo.com. lol - the only people who are gonna get a DVD burner are the 12 people at the top of the pyramid...

Sounds like you better go for the one from the convent in Taiwan, Mr. E.

Hey look at me! I joined a blog! I just wanted to point out that I was going to choose the username "HitMeWithPoo", because I thought of it while I was in class at 8:30 tonight, and I was trying so hard not to laugh out loud. But then I realized that I wouldn't like to be hit with poo. So I stuck with the name my mom gave me. I'm so boring.

I apolosige for any spoellingh errrors...I'm haviing to fight offf my own left hanfd fromn the moouse. One sevcondf... there. I figure I have about 3 minutes before it breaks out of my file cabinet and pummels me to the ground. Just enough time to explain how this happened and perhaps save all of you from the same fate. All...two...of you.

I've lately been obsessed with the prospect of owning a DVD burner. (un?)Fortunately, the particular one I've set my eyes on (SONY DRU 500A) happens to run about $350, and is sold in a combo with a 4 week - 3 month waiting period. I should have let it lie.

I had been browsing the major online shopping communities to find the best price ($320 after shipping from a convent in Tien Mou, Taiwan) when I decided to run a search on ebay. Nestled between the usual make-a-fortune auctions was an obvious scam. For $4.00 this guy will send you a website offering the coveted unit for $50. His claim? It's all a promotion to get people to visit the site and tell their friends. So of course I'm divided. On one hand, this auction all but has the word "SCAM" inserted between every word. On the other hand, it's frickin' $4.00. That's only a twister at Taco Bell (or 13 Cup of Noodles). I'm trying to stay rational about this whole thing, but I my file cabinet is just about trashed. I'll just disconnect the moddemn beffoorre iiiit...

Just thought I'd share a couple of sites that are more than the conventional HTML script.

I'm not too sure what Me Company® is, but they've got a pretty impressive looking page. You can dump your hard-earned clams on t-shirts and other stuff too.

I think this page (DHKY) is sort of an online resume for a graphic/computer designer. Be sure to click on the circles for a quick martial arts lesson.

There's actually some pretty funny blogs out there. I just started looking around the other day for funny ones.

inpassing.org features stuff heard, um, in passing.

Well, I found more, but I just got bored and distracted. I'll add more later.

I'm sitting in Some Bagels at Uptown in Richland listening to my iPod. I just discovered the coolest song that i've had for awhile but never given a chance: Flaming Lips - "Flight Test." Wow. This is just an incredible song. I have repeated it now about 35 times while sitting here reading.

By the way, I figured how to blog from my cell phone which is great... but about the pinnacle of geekdom. If I start inserting HTML tags while doing this, someone just take me out of my misery.

To answer the question regarding "The Wall": Yes, there will be more scanned pictures. If anyone would like to contribute to the virtual wall, just email me the picture as an attachment and I'll put it up--- if it's "Wall-worthy."

What's wrong with the Toffee Nut Latte', A2 D2? Too many non-tipping ToffeeNutDrinkers at "la estrella corcovéa?" And why would your dad's comic depreciate? Wouldn't the movie cause an increase in interest and therefore the value of the original limited-number printing of the comic book? And what is your dad doing collecting comics? Shouldn't he be outside playing ball in the sunshine with the other kids instead of being cooped up indoors with these confounded comic books? Sorry. I was possessed by your grandmother for a brief moment there.

And speaking of your grandmother, mathcaddy.com is experiencing some on-and-off hosting problems. (Okay, that didn't have anything to do with your g-ma, but I couldn't think of a smooth segue.) I've contacted the provider, eHost. Whatever issues there have been for the last couple days should be resolved by Monday afternoon. Of course, in perspective, if our site is currently middle-aged, it will be on its death bed by that time.

I most certainly agree. The cross is strange, but I had to laugh in spite of my better judgement. I also had to lock my office door to prevent getting caught. I mean, it's not porn, but...I still don't want to be seen looking at it. lol

DVD Spotting
The first and second season of Red Dwarf will be coming out on DVD Feb. 25th! SMEG!

Here's something a little different to think about. Remember, these could be the guys working on your computer...

And just when you thought the potato was dead, think again.

Are there going to be more scanned items on the Wall page? Or did you just not put up the things that were only so-so funny? Agh! No more Toffee Nut Latte(s). I think the new Daredevil movie just made my dad's number 1 issue of that comic depreciate 5 times over. Dang you Ben Affleck!
