Mathcaddy Radio: Session 10

And here is Mathcaddy Radio #10… what a landmark! Okay, so it’s pretty simple.
This was perhaps the most hastily put together session ever. Except this time I actually listened to it before posting it. Many apologies to any of you who last week got a trashed audio feed in your podcasts!

Sir, please step away from the electronica. Any attempts to contact or converse with electronica will be considered a felony with fines up to $500 and a minimum jail time of 6 months.
Anyways, just started listening earlier this month. Really enjoy the show. Much better than standard radio faire. Out of curiosity, do you get permissions to play the songs you do or do you just play them and damn the consequences?

I’ve been playing whatever stuff I choose to since February of 2004, but a good portion of it has been independent artists. Because I am in no way profiting from this and because I am providing “reviews” of music, not direct music downloads, I see this as clearly fair use.
If I were pressured to do so, I would consider ASCAP licensing, but I would probably instead choose to play only independent music at that time. I may be doing one or the other very shortly, as the visibility of this site seems to have increased.
